Sierra comes to Santa Cruz from Mililani, Hawai’i (central Oʻahu). She attended Kamehameha High School Kapālama and graduated with honors. Sierra started playing volleyball competitively when she was 11. She played club volleyball for Ka Ulukoa Volleyball Institute Hawai’i.While in high school Sierra was the middle blocker for her volleyball team and has played that position primarily although she has had some experience as an outside hitter and opposite hitter. Sierra is a sophomore at UCSC and stepped into the starting middle blocker role as a freshman at UCSC for the 2015-16 season, she currently still holds that position.
Sierra has assisted coaching at Ka Ulukoa Volleyball Institute and is currently coaching for the Academy.
Sierra is majoring in Earth Science/Biology and when she isn’t school or playing volleyball she likes to go to the beach, hike, eat shoyu ahi poke, play ukulele and sleep!
